This Privacy Policy explains how Halite Intelligence, Inc. ("Halite Intelligence," "Hallie," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Hallie app and related services (the "Service"). It applies together with our Terms of Service.

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account information (name, email, phone, birthday, city, country)
• Beauty profile answers from the preference quizzes
• Products you enter, including brand, type, size, rating, and photos
• Daily log entries and product feedback
• Messages you send to Hallie's AI assistant
• Any consent choices you make

We also collect information automatically, including device and usage information.

With your consent, Hallie uses your beauty profile and activity to personalize your experience, and, where you choose to participate, shares relevant information with participating Hallie partner brands to provide personalized recommendations, product matching, shopping experiences, and related services. This may include:

• Beauty profile
• Skin and hair characteristics
• Beauty goals
• Product preferences
• Routine and product usage information
• Purchase history through Hallie
• AI-generated recommendations
• Allergies and sensitivities you choose to provide

"Participating Hallie Partner Brands" means brands that fall under the product categories Hallie classifies as consumer packaged goods (CPG) beauty and personal care brands. Partner brands may use this information only for the purposes described here and in applicable agreements with Hallie. Hallie does not permit partner brands to use your information for unrelated purposes or to sell your personal information. You may withdraw your consent or view which brands participate at any time through your Privacy Dashboard.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Personalize recommendations and content
• Process points, rewards, and payouts
• Communicate with you about your account
• Analyze usage with our own first-party backend systems to improve the Service
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
• Comply with legal obligations

Hallie may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to analyze your profile, products, logs, and preferences to generate personalized recommendations and to power the Ask Hallie chat assistant. This is part of the personalization described above, not a separate use of your information. AI-generated content is based on the information you provide and may not always be accurate — you should use your own judgment before acting on any recommendation. Hallie does not use AI to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Some information you choose to provide — such as health-related skin conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or other information that may be considered sensitive or special-category data under applicable privacy laws — receives extra protection. Hallie only processes this information with your separate, explicit consent, collected during onboarding and manageable at any time from your Privacy Dashboard.

Hallie does not ask you to identify your race or ethnicity. Where you tell us about skin or hair characteristics (for example, to get product matches formulated for melanin-rich skin), we treat that as a product preference, not as a request for your racial or ethnic origin. If Hallie ever collects racial or ethnic origin directly, it will be disclosed and consented to separately from this section.

Hallie uses a single, necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. As described above, we do analyze user activity using our own first-party backend systems.

Your information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence. Where required by law, Hallie uses appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent legal mechanisms.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion at any time through your Privacy Dashboard.

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and where required, we will seek renewed consent.
